Questions frequently asked by renters

 
  • Are any guest services available at Del Mar Beach Club?
    In a word, no. DMBC is a community of privately owned residences. There are no hotel or resort style guest services, here. The General Information and Rules & Information on the main page on this web site provides renters with information we think you will find useful while you are here. We offer this in the spirit of being good neighbors and we hope that you will respond in kind.
     
  • Are renters allowed to bring a pet?
    This depends on the individual owner or agency from whom you rent. DMBC allows homeowners to have one domestic pet per unit. Homeowners who rent out their units can choose to allow their renters to have one pet, but no more than one.
     
    Be aware that DMBC requires that pets be kept on a leash at all times while on the premises and must be taken off the premises to relieve themselves. DMBC does not allow pets in the Pool Enclosures, the View Lounge, the elevators, or on the grassy areas, at any time. Also be aware that the City of Solana Beach does not allow pets on the beach immediately in front of DMBC, at any time.  
  • Can renters use the recreation facilities at DMBC?
    Yes, within the same rules and requirements that are set for homeowners.
     
     
    POOLS , SPAS, BARBEQUES: Hours are 8:00 am to10:00 pm. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. No glass, no smoking, no pets. Please keep voice volume to a reasonable level for neighbors. Please clean barbeques after use.
     
    EXERCISE ROOM: Hours are 8:00 am to 10 pm. All users must be 18 or over and sign a liability release. A refundable deposit is required for the key. Please see our office to make arrangements. Please follow the rules posted in the room.
     
    TENNIS COURTS: Hours are 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. A green tag is required for identification and can be obtained from your owner or rental agent. Please follow the rules posted courtside and please keep voice volume to a reasonable level for neighbors.
     
    VIEW LOUNGE: Hours are 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. The square key which opens the pedestrian gates also opens the lounge. Smoking, wet bathing suits, pets and unaccompanied children are not allowed in the lounge at any time. The lounge can be reserved for private parties (except on holidays and summer weekends) by contacting the office.
     
  • How do I open the driveway gate to allow my visitors to enter?
    Visitors must pull off to the right side of the driveway, and enter the gatehouse, to access the intercom. The intercom numbers are posted in the gatehouse, under the names of the owners. When your visitor calls your unit via the intercom, press the number 5 on your telephone, to open the gate. (Note: this only works via the intercom and the land line telephone in your unit.)
     
  • Where are the trash bins located?

  • Who do I contact if I have a problem with the unit I am renting?
    Contact the owner or the rental agency from whom you are renting. Please understand that you are renting from an individual homeowner, either directly or through their agent. DMBC has no direct responsibilities to you as a renter.
